An honest, independent take on all things AI

A lot of AI comes out every week, and most of it is noise. Hayz Labs tells you which releases are worth using and which are not. Each model, app and tool gets a score from 0 to 100 for the jobs it does, against what else exists and what it costs, plus a plain call: Use it, Worth trying, Depends, Wait or Skip. The Learn guides show how to get real work done with the ones worth using.

How we stay honest

• Scores are built from public data other people collect, such as blind votes and independent tests. We never run or test anything ourselves, and never say we did. How we score explains the method.
• Nothing is sold here. No sponsors, no paid placement, no affiliate links and no free access in exchange for coverage.
• Reviews are drafted with help from AI models and checked against their sources. Every figure links the page it came from and the day we read it.
• When something changes, it is dated in News.

Who runs it

Ben Hays leads Hayz Labs. His background is in data, finance and building AI systems. The finance habit of checking a number against its source before trusting it is where the site's rules come from.
